With the Foundation’s kind support we have been able to purchase new IT equipment for our college.
For the Trustees of Cantiacorum Foundation to take such a keen interest in our work with people with learning disabilities is very encouraging. We are a small charity with limited fundraising resource so it is wonderful to have their support. The application process was very straight forward and we were able to express in our own words the difference a grant would make to the people we support.
We were delighted, therefore, when the Foundation, awarded our charity a grant of £1,000. June Crisp, Manager, Harrington College: “One of our students arrived with very low confidence and was extremely apprehensive as she’d never been given the opportunity to use a computer before. With encouragement from our tutors and using the laptops and headsets, funded by the Foundation, she has been able to work at her own pace and develop her skills and confidence. She is now flying through her coursework and just about to begin working towards her entry level 3 City and Guilds qualification! With her new skills she is keen to explore the possibility of employment in an administrative role; this could be a life changing experience for her.”
