Support for people and communities in Kent
Thanks to Foundation support we were able to continue providing free lip reading courses and other charitable services to the deaf and hard of hearing people of Kent.
“We found Cantiacorum Foundation very helpful and responsive to work with. They took a keen interest in our work and our needs".
Hi Kent is the LOCAL registered charity for deaf and hard of hearing people. We free hearing aid after-care clinics in towns, villages and communities throughout Kent.
Our clinics are run by our trained volunteers and they will be able to change batteries, clean and re-tube hearing aids free of charge, while you wait. If you are housebound and cannot get to your local clinic, please request us to visit you in your home.
Our Lipreading classes are also free of charge, anybody is welcome to attend if there is a place available and you can join at any time during the year. Priority is given to people with a hearing loss, although hearing students are very welcome if there is room. The classes are provided in partnership with Kent Adult Education. All are run by qualified Lip reading tutors.
